Floodgates Open for Luxury Hotel Deals

BY Eric Schaefer, Wednesday Dec. 24, 2008

As the high-end hospitality sector scrambles to fill rooms, the price-tag on upscale accommodations is dropping fast. One look at our [travel deals](http://www.halogenguides.com/deals) section could tell you that. The New York Times recently threw together a [nice list](http://travel.nytimes.com/2008/12/21/travel/21pracluxslump.html) of bargains, too. Hotels ranging from the Four Seasons in New York (and Scottdale, which we [revealed](http://www.halogenguides.com/deals/1609-third-night-free-at-four-seasons-scottsdale) earlier this month), to the Hotel of South Beach are letting prices dip quite a bit.

It looks like the third-night-free hook has become popular with both the [Plaza Hotel in New York](http://www.halogenguides.com/deals/1629-complimentary-third-night-at-the-plaza-in-new-york), and the [Bellagio Las Vegas](http://www.halogenguides.com/deals/1617-third-night-free-at-the-bellagio-las-vegas). Keep your eye on our deals section as the influx continues. ’Tis the season for a savvy traveler.
