Rent-A-Hybrid: Enterprise Goes Greener in Atlanta

BY Laura Balch, Monday May. 12, 2008

from geognerd via flickrEnterprise Rent-A-Car, who made waves earlier this year by partnering with [TerraPass](http://www.terrapass.com/blog/posts/get-a-terrapass) to launch the rental car industry’s most extensive carbon offsetting program, has recently upped their green appeal a little further by reconfiguring four of their Atlanta-area branches to feature a 30 percent hybrid inventory.

The Green Branches in Atlanta rent hybrids for about $45 a day, and fuel-efficient cars (which make up another 30 percent of their inventory) for about $35. Plans to open more hybrid-heavy locations in other cities are in the works, but Enterprise could have a hard time building such large hybrid fleets in multiple cities, considering how few of them there are to be had. Check out the [Enterprise website](http://www.enterprise.com/) for more about the offsetting program and to find out what the hybrid situation in your area is.
